TSMC aims for 100,000 N2 wafers a month by end of 2026

TSMC is accelerating high-volume manufacturing for its latest 2 nm N2 node after reaching about 20,000 wafers per month. The company is aiming to produce about 100,000 N2 wafers per month by the end of 2026, leaving about four months to expand output fivefold. The N2 node currently accounts for only 3% of TSMC’s revenue, compared with 30% for the 3 nm node and 33% for the 5 nm node. If N2 revenue rises fivefold, it would represent more than 10% of the company’s overall revenue share.

Demand remains strong for the 3 nm N3 family. Customers including NVIDIA, AMD, Broadcom, and others have reportedly pushed monthly N3 wafer output to 180,000 units, surpassing TSMC’s internal targets. TSMC had hoped to reach that level in the fourth quarter of 2026, but current demand has stretched production capacity and led the company to consider further expansion for the node.
