Oracle Media Fabric unites video creation and live streaming
Oracle has unveiled Media Fabric, a platform combining its own AI video and image models, production tools and a live-streaming network. Announced at AI World in Las Vegas, the service is due within 12 months and targets media companies, streaming services and brands.
Its Creative Studio includes models for generating and editing video and images. It can also select models from other companies according to cost, security and copyright risk. Brands can create multiple versions of an advert while following their own rules, and broadcasters can tailor shows to different viewers.
Oracle Video Edge handles live-event streaming, using live data to direct viewers to the best server. The aim is to make streams start quickly and remain smooth during peak demand. Oracle says the platform includes safeguards to protect customers’ work and reduce the risk of AI output copying others’ material, while making tools previously limited to major streaming platforms available to creators of all sizes.
