Oracle unveils agent-building platform for industry workflows

·1 min read

Oracle has announced Oracle AI Agent Studio for Industry Applications, a no-code and low-code environment for creating, testing, deploying and managing industry-specific AI agents. Built on its agent studio for Fusion Applications, the platform lets customers and partners adapt prebuilt agents, workflows and tools using existing application data and business processes. Availability is planned within the next 12 months in the U.S., with expansion to supported OCI Enterprise AI regions over time.

Users can define agent roles, goals, policies and tools through natural-language instructions and visual workflow editing. The platform supports orchestration across supported Oracle Industry and Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, connections through Model Context Protocol servers, and a choice of supported generative AI models through OCI Enterprise AI. Testing, debugging and monitoring capabilities cover agent actions, workflow execution, reliability and AI-unit consumption, while security controls govern access to applications, data and tools.

Target sectors include construction, retail, finance, restaurants, government, utilities, communications and hospitality. Potential uses include identifying construction schedule risks and proposing mitigation steps, customizing retail product information and catalog management, and extending financial services agents for payments and affordability analysis. Oracle says the integrated approach can reduce data movement and point-to-point integrations for supported use cases.
