Globe reports P1.2 billion in AI business benefits

·1 min read

Globe Telecom said its generative AI and machine learning initiatives generated P1.2 billion in measurable business benefits as of August 2026, including additional revenue, cost avoidance and productivity gains. The results represented a 2.8 times return on its AI investments, based on the company’s initial enterprise measurement.

Commercial and customer initiatives contributed the largest share, generating more than P825 million in incremental revenue. These applications tailor offers and experiences across Globe Rewards, roaming, lending and postpaid services. The company also reported P368 million in realized cost avoidance from initiatives spanning finance, customer engagement, marketing technology and order management.

AI-enabled productivity and automation saved more than 52,000 work hours, equivalent to P28 million in productivity gains. Globe said the time saved allows employees to reduce repetitive work and concentrate on tasks requiring judgment and collaboration.

Organizational AI adoption reached 90% in August 2026, while its community of AI builders grew to more than 450 employees, extending development beyond dedicated technology teams. Globe plans to make investment tracking more precise and accountable, emphasizing customer experiences, employee effectiveness and tangible business outcomes rather than adoption alone.
