Netherlands issues new AI Act guidance

The Dutch government has published an updated guide to help organisations understand how the EU-wide Artificial Intelligence Act will apply to their activities. The updated version is available in English as a 21-page, 287KB PDF. The guidance was published as the Artificial Intelligence Act continues to be phased in across the continent and is intended to support businesses preparing for the law´s roll-out.

The guide is presented as a practical roadmap and focuses on four steps for organisations to follow. It begins by helping readers determine whether a system is classed as Artificial Intelligence under the new legislation and then moves to the obligations companies and organisations face to ensure systems are implemented safely. The material is designed to offer hands-on advice rather than legal theory, with the aim of making compliance more accessible to non-specialists.
