Intel says Razor Lake-AX will deliver 700 TOPS
Intel’s next-generation Razor Lake-AX platform will feature 700 TOPS of on-die AI compute, senior vice president Cho Min-sung announced at the Semiconductors Powering Humanoids summit in South Korea. At INT8/FP8 precision, that would put its compute performance at 3.88 times that of the current Panther Lake mobile chips, which offer 180 TOPS.
The increase is expected to come primarily from a large integrated GPU alongside a substantial CPU complex. Earlier reports indicate configurations with a 16-core iGPU and a flagship 32-core iGPU, both expected to use Intel’s Xe3 graphics architecture, currently found in Panther Lake. Razor Lake-AX is expected to be nearly three times as powerful as the current Arc B390, with a GPU die reportedly measuring around 162.84 mm².
Intel is also reportedly planning to restore on-package LPDDR5X/LPDDR6 memory with Razor Lake-AX. That would mark a reversal from its earlier position that Core Ultra 200V Lunar Lake would be its last design to use on-package memory.
