Apple Creator Studio adds AI assistants and editing tools

·1 min read

Apple is updating Creator Studio with AI features across its creative and productivity apps, with free updates for existing subscribers arriving this November. Logic Pro for Mac, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers gain beta assistants built on Apple models and OpenAI. The assistants support music production, slide design, writing, and data analysis, with availability limited to U.S. English on Apple Intelligence-capable devices.

Final Cut Pro for Mac integrates MotionVFX effects, templates, transitions, and graphics tools, alongside access to stock videos, photos, and backgrounds through the Content Hub. Editors can send timeline images to Pixelmator Pro and have changes saved back automatically. Final Cut Pro also adds animation controls, more flexible clip placement, and 23 new transcription languages. Pixelmator Pro introduces Generate Fill, which edits selected image areas from text descriptions while matching surrounding lighting, perspective, and texture.

Logic Pro adds a redesigned Browser with on-device sound analysis and tagging, while its enhanced Stem Splitter can isolate, replace, or rebalance drum parts. Keynote, Pages, and Numbers introduce Model Context Protocol support, allowing external AI agents to read content, make edits, and automate actions. Keynote also gains an open JSON-based interchange format for external tools and AI agents.

New subscriptions cost $12.99 (U.S.) per month or $129 (U.S.) per year. Free versions of Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and Freeform remain available.
