Adobe Firefly combines AI video models with editing tools
Adobe Firefly’s AI Video Generator is built to reduce the friction of using separate tools for generation, editing and export. Instead of relying on a single model style, the workspace includes Google Veo, Runway, Kling and Adobe’s own Firefly Video Model, allowing users to run the same prompt across different systems and compare output for realism, motion style and pacing.
Firefly adds production controls aimed at making generated footage more predictable, including camera angle, shot size, motion direction and start/end keyframe uploads. Users can generate clips from text prompts or animate uploaded photos, illustrations, 2D or 3D renders and concept art with prompts that describe the intended movement.
The platform also includes a built-in video editor with a multi-track timeline, audio tools, color adjustments and direct access to over 800 million Adobe Stock assets. Clips can be trimmed, reordered, extended, regenerated or handed off to Premiere Pro for more complex editing.
Adobe says video made with its Firefly Video Model is commercially safe and covered by Adobe’s IP indemnification, targeting creators and marketing teams that need clearer usage rights for client work, campaigns and social content.
