Funding spans virtual patients, financial tools and chip infrastructure
Leeds spinout adsilico raised £10M in Series A funding led by PXN to replace human trials with AI virtual patients. Financial-advisor automation startup Nevis secured $70M in Series B funding led by EQT Ventures at a reported $500M valuation. The deals sit alongside investment in drug development: Pathos AI raised $237M at $3B in a round led by Bristol Myers, while adding Tempus data and an Alzheimer’s program.
Infrastructure financing remains prominent. Bloomberg reported that Broadcom was lining up a $63B bank-and-Blackstone special-purpose vehicle to lease AI chips to Anthropic. CNBC reported that OpenAI was nearing a $30B funding round involving UAE investors and Coatue at a $1.25T valuation, below its earlier $1.4T pitch.
Robotics and developer infrastructure also attracted capital. Eka Robotics raised $150M in Series A funding at $1.45B for its vision-force-action robot model, led by a16z and F-Prime. Daytona raised $60M in Series B funding at $1B for its AI-agent CPU cloud, while Blacksmith secured $66M in Series C funding led by Sequoia, reaching a $1B valuation as AI-written code increased demand on its continuous integration platform.
