NVIDIA plans new investments in UK startups
NVIDIA announced planned investments in Boltz, Foresight, Hiverge, Prima Mente and Riverlane, expanding its support for the U.K. startup ecosystem. The companies join existing investments including Basecamp Research, Ineffable Intelligence, Synthesia and Wayve. More than 3,100 U.K. companies participate in the NVIDIA Inception startup program.
London-based Boltz develops biomolecular models and AI agents to predict molecular structures and interactions and help design potential medicines. Foresight helps major infrastructure projects forecast completion dates and manage risks. Cambridge-based Hiverge builds an AI discovery engine that writes and optimizes algorithms. Prima Mente develops biological foundation models targeting complex diseases, starting with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and ALS. Riverlane builds quantum error-correction hardware and software and is exploring GPU-accelerated decoder recalibration with NVIDIA.
NVIDIA is also joining the Earthshot Prize as a Global Alliance Founding Partner, providing computing resources and technical expertise for climate and sustainability innovators. Across healthcare, partners are using its technology for clinical triage, medical evidence access, speech recognition, hospital sample logistics and autonomous laboratory workflows.
Other deployments span energy, local government and banking. Fuse Energy is moving customer AI onto its own NVIDIA-based infrastructure, while Liverpool City Region is developing a sovereign AI strategy called City Brain. Financial institutions including LSEG, Revolut, Lloyds Banking Group, Starling and NatWest are pursuing accelerated analytics, banking foundation models and voice technology.
