Patton AI launches Hive 4.5 for GPS-denied operations
Patton AI has launched Patton Hive Version 4.5, battle management and command-and-control software designed for contested environments where GPS and communications may be unavailable. The San Juan, Puerto Rico-based company says the software works with platforms customers already own and is designed for the TAK/ATAK screens operators already carry.
The release introduces capabilities intended to coordinate mixed fleets, compare courses of action and enforce rules of engagement while leaving decisions with human commanders. Patton AI says the system can exclude compromised units, support positioning without GPS, manage platform power and heat, and handle smoke, decoys and deception. It also describes dynamically generated team tactics, safety checks before learning updates and boundaries intended to protect friendly forces.
Beyond defense, the software targets offshore energy, subsea work, mining, ports, infrastructure inspection, disaster response, search-and-rescue, construction and commercial maritime support. Companion hardware remains in development, including Patton Titan FMU, Malar GNSS and ZeroFail CRPA, which the company plans to bring to existing vehicles.
