Forterro embeds AI assistants in industrial software

·1 min read

Forterro has launched MyForterro.ai for industrial businesses, rolling it out across participating product lines, including UK warehouse management and ERP product Orderwise. The platform connects AI models with operational data in Forterro software to support assistants, automate repetitive tasks, improve information access and help employees make decisions within existing workflows.

More than 540 customers across Europe helped test and shape the platform through an invitation-only programme. Its industrial applications include production optimisation, process automation, knowledge access and decision support. Customers can adopt functions suited to their priorities and systems, rather than deploying a separate AI tool.

Spanish food and beverage manufacturer JULIAN SOLER expects to save between four and eight hours a day using an AI-based recipe optimisation tool connected to production, laboratory and quality data in its Abas ERP environment. UK intercom and access-control distributor CIE-Group said cross-sell recommendations embedded in its software helped its sales team identify additional customer opportunities and increase revenue.

Forterro-commissioned research found that 64% of European industrial companies consider AI a top priority, while 74% expect their ERP or specialist software provider to support or guide their AI roadmap. The company is positioning the platform around practical operational improvements using data customers already hold.
