AM Intelligence seeks $3 billion for Nvidia chip purchase
AM Intelligence is seeking as much as $3 billion to fund a previously announced purchase of Nvidia’s next-generation chips, according to people familiar with the matter. The company, established by the founders of renewable energy producer Greenko Group, is considering a financing package that could include bonds and bank loans. Discussions remain at an early stage, and terms could change.
The firm also expects $300 million in advance payment from potential offtakers. The mix of financing options is still being finalized. AM Intelligence declined to comment, while Nvidia did not respond to requests for comment.
AM Intelligence announced in August that it had ordered Vera Rubin chips under an $8 billion project, aiming to become an early adopter of the computing platform in Asia. The project forms part of a broader plan to establish 1-gigawatt of computing capacity. Its Hyderabad facility is intended to run trillion-parameter AI models and next-generation agentic AI applications.
The proposed financing reflects the increasingly layered funding structures supporting AI infrastructure expansion, combining bank lending, private capital and customer commitments. Globally, AI-related borrowing has generated more than $650 billion of debt in less than two years, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
