Ridger deploys private AI at Hong Kong law firm

·1 min read

Ridger has delivered its MUX private AI platform to Shum Wong & Co., Solicitors in Hong Kong’s Northern Metropolis. The deployment combines MIMO storage technology, local computing infrastructure, a dedicated large language model environment and legal applications. Storage, processing and inference operate within the firm’s own security perimeter, with the firm retaining control of model weights and the inference environment.

The platform supports contract review, risk flagging, legal research, case-law retrieval, due diligence document review, drafting, multilingual translation and internal knowledge queries. It integrates with email, document management and calendar systems, and includes role-based access controls, tiered permissions, audit trails and content provenance. Ridger led design and integration, xFusion supplied its FusionXpark computing platform, and Fadada provided the Richee Legal AI Agent Platform.

The deployment is intended to protect client confidentiality and legal professional privilege while reducing reliance on unapproved public chatbots. Ridger says the private environment supports data sovereignty and compliance requirements, keeps institutional knowledge within the firm and reduces exposure to external service changes or outages. Founding partner Careen H.Y. Wong set aside space for an equipment rack at the firm’s latest office to support on-premise deployment.
