NVIDIA expands agent toolkit with company data and security tools
NVIDIA has expanded its open source Agent Toolkit to help enterprises build AI agents grounded in company information and governed by access controls. The additions include Agent Knowledge Foundation, Kumo open models and tools for developing, securing and improving specialized agents.
Agent Knowledge Foundation combines CUDA-X libraries, Nemotron Retriever and Kumo Structured models to help agents retrieve information, interpret business relationships and make predictions. Its new Auto-Ontology library maps raw data into concepts such as customers, products and orders. Enterprises can use the foundation without moving data, rebuilding existing workflows or changing governance controls.
OpenShell supplies a secure runtime boundary that controls agents’ access and actions. NemoClaw blueprints provide reference designs for specialized agents, including a new optimization blueprint intended to improve their performance over time.
NVIDIA’s supply chain organization is using the foundation through Palantir’s platforms to deploy agents and support decision-making. Databricks pairs Kumo Anomaly with Genie Ontology, while Snowflake is bringing Kumo predictive capabilities into its Notebook environments. Nemotron Retriever adopters include Amazon OpenSearch Service, SAP, ServiceNow and Zoom. SAP’s fine-tuned reranker ran nearly 3x faster, while ServiceNow improved reranking quality and cut latency by nearly a quarter.
