Apple sets requirements for next Apple Intelligence
Apple’s next generation of Apple Intelligence becomes available automatically on eligible devices after updating to the 27.0 software releases for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and visionOS in supported languages and regions. It is integrated across apps for web browsing, image generation, communications, schedules, photo editing, and more, and also powers Siri AI, described as an entirely new version of Siri.
Supported hardware includes iPhone 16 models or later, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone Air, iPad mini (A17 Pro), MacBook Neo (A18 Pro), iPad models with M1 or later, Mac with M1 or later, Apple Vision Pro, Apple Watch Series 9 or later, Apple Watch Ultra 2 or later, and Apple Watch SE 3 when paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone. Storage requirements include Up to 14 GB on select newer devices, Up to 8 GB on other enabled iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro models, and Up to 1.5GB on Apple Watch.
Many features are available in most regions on compatible iPhone, iPad, and Mac models, with language support spanning English, several European languages, Vietnamese, Chinese variants, Japanese, and Korean. EU residents get app-level features including advanced photo-editing, the reimagined Image Playground, and intelligent browsing on supported platforms; China mainland support remains unavailable under stated purchase, location, and account conditions.
Some server-side features, including Siri AI, Intelligent Photo Editing Tools, Image Playground, and AFM 3 Cloud models in Shortcuts, are subject to daily usage limits that vary by feature, request complexity, system demand, policies, and other factors. Expanded access will be offered for a fee in the future.
