CoreWeave and Parallel Works deploy managed cloud for DARPA NODES
Parallel Works and CoreWeave have deployed a managed AI and high-performance computing platform for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Network of Optimal Dynamic Energy Signatures program. The environment pairs Parallel Works’ ACTIVATE control plane with CoreWeave’s AI cloud platform to give researchers access to large-scale compute, orchestration software and technical support without requiring teams to build and manage their own infrastructure.
The companies said the platform is designed to help NODES researchers train AI models and run complex simulations within days rather than weeks or months. NODES focuses on complex challenges in the dynamics of biological systems, where dependable GPU resources are needed for simulation and modeling campaigns.
Researchers will use single sign-on to access dedicated compute, unified orchestration and operational reporting. The environment includes a dedicated reservation on NVIDIA HGX H100 systems, enterprise-scale storage and high-speed NVIDIA Quantum InfiniBand networking. ACTIVATE divides capacity across research teams, manages accounts and allocations, and supports access to SUNK and CoreWeave Kubernetes Service from one platform.
