Texas A&M offers secure access to multiple AI models

·1 min read

Texas A&M University provides students and employees with access to TAMU AI Chat, a university-approved platform currently in beta. The service supports multiple AI models, including OpenAI’s GPT, Anthropic’s Claude and Google’s Gemini, giving the campus community a shared platform for accessing these tools.

The university’s approved AI tools require users to sign in with their NetID and password. Texas A&M states that data used through these services remains private, complies with state law and university security policies, and will not be used to train external AI models. These protections underpin the university’s approach to providing access to AI services.

Technology Services also offers resources to help the Texas A&M community adopt and advance AI technologies. Its AI Resources page provides information about support available for university AI initiatives, alongside the approved tools and chat platform.
