Samsung starts mass production of PM1763 SSD
Samsung Electronics has begun mass production of PM1763, a PCIe 6.0-based enterprise solid state drive designed for next-generation AI and HPC server environments. The company is positioning the drive for infrastructure where growing data demands from AI training and inference require fast and reliable enterprise storage.
PM1763 features high-speed data transfer and an optimized controller architecture intended for high-performance AI platforms. Jangseok Choi, Vice President and Head of Memory Product Planning at Samsung Electronics, said the drive has completed validation for next-generation AI platforms and is aimed at helping customers scale memory capacity while optimizing AI operations as models grow in size and complexity.
