Qualcomm expands data center push with Meta and Microsoft
Qualcomm used its 2026 Investor Day to frame AI data centers as a major next stage for its semiconductor business. The company’s push includes a multi-generation CPU agreement with Meta, signaling an effort to move more deeply into infrastructure workloads beyond its traditional strengths.
Microsoft is also deploying Qualcomm HBC chips, adding another major customer reference as the company seeks traction in a market led by NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel. Qualcomm’s challenge is to convert these early deployments and partnerships into meaningful share in one of the chip industry’s most competitive growth segments.
