Orlo offers governed AI writing for public sector social media

·1 min read

Orlo offers AI content creation features inside its Composer workflow for public sector social media teams, with tools for drafting posts, rewording copy, generating hashtags and writing image alt text. Drafts remain editable and move through existing approval routing, split posting per channel and campaign tagging, with a named person responsible for publishing.

The tools are designed around public sector governance and accessibility needs. AI-generated alt text is supported on Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn and Nextdoor, while an Alt Text Required control blocks publication of media posts that lack descriptions. Asset-level alt text can also be stored in the Asset Library and reused when images are added to Composer.

Orlo says its platform is trusted by 400+ public sector organisations and is built with isolated model deployment, no third-party model training or storage and UK data residency. The company cites ISO 27001, ISO 22301, Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus and SOC 2 certifications, procurement through G-Cloud 14 and CCS, and audit features including approval workflows, Social Media History Audit and message redaction.
