Micron launches U.S. research labs for memory and AI

Micron Technology has unveiled Micron Research Labs, a U.S.-based research institution headquartered in Boise that will pursue long-horizon work in memory and AI-related semiconductor technologies. The hub is intended to connect Micron with customers, universities, government partners and the broader semiconductor ecosystem to explore breakthroughs beyond current technology roadmaps.

The flagship Boise campus will support research across critical memory technologies, advanced memory and compute architectures, packaging and future semiconductor manufacturing. Micron also plans to fund university collaborations, global satellite labs and ecosystem partnerships, creating a broader research network focused on technologies for the AI era.
