Memory squeeze pushes chip prices higher

Memory shortages are driving price increases across the semiconductor supply chain, affecting products from desktop CPUs and gaming GPUs to high-end AI server racks. Intel raised suggested retail prices for its Arrow Lake Refresh desktop CPUs by 10% to 17%, while AMD told board partners it will increase Radeon GPU and memory bundle supply prices by 10% starting in July because of tighter GDDR6 availability.
