German tax firm uses ChatGPT to free advisors for client work
HSP GRUPPE, a German tax advisory group, rolled out ChatGPT Enterprise to help staff spend less time on routine document work and more time advising clients. The firm targeted a common pressure point in professional services: high-value thinking, strategy, and relationship work often gets crowded out by drafting, summarising, formatting, and research.
The deployment focused on tasks such as drafting client communications, summarising complex tax regulations, and preparing internal briefings. By using AI to compress necessary but less differentiated work, the firm aimed to expand capacity for higher-touch client service that supports relationships and fees.
The choice of ChatGPT Enterprise was presented as central for a regulated tax environment, where data privacy, custom configurations, and administrative controls are essential. The broader lesson is that AI adoption in knowledge work is less about replacing expertise than protecting expert time by delegating the right tasks to AI.
