Fujitsu to sell FUJITSU-MONAKA CPU and server from November 2026
Fujitsu plans to begin global sales of FUJITSU-MONAKA, a CPU designed and developed in Japan, starting November 2026. The processor will be sold as a standalone product to cloud and data center operators and server vendors.
The company also plans to launch Fujitsu MONAKA Server, a made-in-Japan system equipped with the FUJITSU-MONAKA CPU for use as sovereign AI infrastructure. Fujitsu says the server will be broadly available from November 2026 to data center operators, enterprises, academic and HPC organizations in Japan and Europe, and the defense sector.
The CPU is described as delivering world-class computational performance and data supply capabilities, with a maximum operating frequency of 3.8 GHz and memory transfer speed of 8800 MT/s. Fujitsu says it provides twice the AI inference throughput and stronger power efficiency than other CPUs, effectively halving the number of servers and power consumption required for equivalent workloads.
