AMD and Nutanix align on open enterprise AI infrastructure

·1 min read

AMD and Nutanix announced a multi-year strategic partnership to jointly develop an open, full-stack artificial intelligence infrastructure platform designed to power agentic artificial intelligence applications everywhere. The collaboration is positioned around a shared commitment to an open ecosystem for artificial intelligence, giving customers choice alongside easy-to-deploy, production-ready solutions that emphasize high performance and efficiency for agentic artificial intelligence at the edge, within enterprise environments, and across cloud deployments.

The agreement brings together silicon innovation, open runtime software and enterprise cloud orchestration technologies for artificial intelligence to deliver scalable, production-ready agentic artificial intelligence platforms across data centers, hybrid setups and edge locations. Both companies are focusing on integrating their respective strengths to create a cohesive stack that can be adopted flexibly by enterprises with varying infrastructure strategies.

As part of the partnership, Nutanix Cloud and Nutanix Kubernetes Platforms will be optimized on AMD EPYC CPUs and AMD Instinct GPUs, while the AMD ROCm software ecosystem and the AMD Enterprise artificial intelligence platform will be integrated into Nutanix artificial intelligence full-stack solutions. By combining these elements, AMD and Nutanix are developing an open solution for agentic artificial intelligence platforms built on high-performance infrastructure and backed by a broad set of OEM partners.
