AI tools gain ground among Roblox’s leading games

Roblox reported that over 80% of its top 100 games by hours played in September were developed with AI assistance. The company said usage of its AI game development tools more than tripled among top creators, reflecting wider adoption of assisted development across its leading experiences. Roblox linked the growth in content to AI-enabled game creation, automated code generation and AI-supported asset creation.

The number of games created with Roblox’s Build generative AI platform topped 70,000 since Q2. In Q3, two games described as “created almost entirely with AI” reached the top 20 Roblox game ranking by concurrent player count. Those results put largely AI-created experiences among the platform’s leading games by simultaneous players, alongside the broader use of AI assistance in development.
