Anthropic adds reporting tools to track enterprise returns
Anthropic has launched reporting tools that give enterprise customers a more detailed view of their AI spending and results. Combining internal analytics with employee surveys, the reports show managers what teams produced, how much the work cost, and where workflows broke down over a selected period. They also recommend improvements. Anthropic says the underlying data will not be used for model training by default. The company is also introducing pooled group budgets to help teams manage token costs.
The launch comes as businesses face growing pressure to justify spending on coding assistants. Jellyfish research covering agentic coding tools used by 276,000 customers found that spending on those tools has grown 10x since the beginning of the year, reaching about 2% of total engineering cost. Claude Code and other tools built on Anthropic models remain the most widely used in the survey.
Anthropic’s enterprise adoption has continued despite competition from OpenAI’s Astra model. Jellyfish executives attribute its staying power partly to established workflows and the effort customers have invested in deployment. Reporting tools could reinforce those relationships by helping businesses optimize usage without the intensive support of embedded AI consultants.
