Eliyan held early takeover talks with Arm

·1 min read

Eliyan, an AI chip-interconnect startup last valued above $1 billion, has drawn takeover interest and held early talks with Arm. No deal terms, price, structure, timeline, or competing bidders beyond Arm have been disclosed, and the discussions remain at an early stage rather than a signed agreement.

Arm already has a strategic position in Eliyan. In January 2026, Eliyan raised $50 million from investors including Arm, AMD, Meta, Samsung’s Catalyst Fund and Intel Capital, making any potential tie-up an extension of an existing relationship. Eliyan previously raised a $145 million Series C at a unicorn valuation.

Eliyan’s NuLink-XD, launched in July 2026, provides interconnect IP using 224G PAM4 SerDes to link GPUs, custom AI chips and chiplets fast enough to operate as a unified system. The interest reflects growing strategic focus on the interconnect layer, where Arm, AMD, Meta, Samsung, Nvidia and others are weighing whether to build, partner or buy.
