Huawei unveils 11 chips for AI infrastructure

Huawei introduced more than 10 chipsets for AI computing infrastructure on Thursday, including next generations of AI accelerators, CPUs and high-speed connectivity chips. The launch underscores the Chinese tech giant’s push to compete more directly with Nvidia, whose hardware holds a dominant position in the AI industry.

The company framed the rollout around growing needs for domestic computing capacity, saying demand in China for its Ascend chips exceeds available supply. The products were presented during Huawei Connect 2026, where Huawei positioned its chip portfolio as part of a broader effort to build infrastructure for AI workloads and challenge established foreign suppliers such as Nvidia, Intel and AMD.
