Körber launches K.AI Assistant for regulated life sciences operations

·1 min read

Körber launched K.AI Assistant in Lüneburg, Germany, on 16 September 2026, positioning the tool for pharma and life sciences teams operating under GxP requirements. The company said the assistant is designed to help operators, engineers, and quality teams access compliant answers quickly while reducing the risks of inaccurate or unverifiable outputs in regulated processes.

The system draws on Körber product knowledge and customer-specific GxP documentation to support manufacturing and quality workflows. Powered by PharmaGuardrails, K.AI Assistant is intended to prevent inaccurate and out-of-scope responses, addressing concerns that generic AI tools can create hallucination risks and require significant validation effort before use in GxP-critical settings.

The latest release adds document upload, easier onboarding, improved communication management, an enhanced user experience, and natural-language interaction. Körber also highlighted native integration with PAS-X MES, which embeds the assistant into an already validated manufacturing environment, along with headless integration for use in existing applications, workflows, and digital ecosystems.
