Google pitches Gemini Enterprise app as a governed agent platform

·1 min read

Google Cloud is presenting Gemini Enterprise app as an agentic platform that gives employees access to Gemini models, business-data search and workflow automation in a secure environment. The app connects to Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint, HubSpot, Jira, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and other systems, allowing users to ground AI outputs in company data and generate text, images, videos, emails, reports and presentations.

The platform includes Google-made agents such as Gemini Notebook and Deep Research, along with no-code custom agent creation through Agent Designer. Standard and Plus editions also support custom agents, third-party agents and agents built with Google’s Agent Development Kit. Built-in management tools let organizations control agent access to apps and data and monitor activity.

Google emphasizes enterprise security and governance, including centralized controls for connectors, permissions and policies, plus Model Armor screening for malicious and unsafe interactions. Standard and Plus editions add capabilities such as VPC-Service Controls, Customer-Managed Encryption Keys, Access Transparency and data residency, with support for workloads such as HIPAA and FedRAMP High.

The Business edition starts at $21USD per seat per month, includes 25 GiB storage and data indexing per seat (pooled), and supports 1-300 seats. Standard and Plus editions start at $30USD per seat per month, offer unlimited seats, include Gemini Code Assist Standard, and provide up to 75 GiB storage and data indexing per seat (pooled).
