Rosabella faces lawsuit over AI TikTok supplement ads

·1 min read

Rosabella’s TikTok Shop marketing operation relied on AI-generated influencers, fake doctors and copied viral scripts to promote supplements, according to a lawsuit filed by Humann against Ambrosia Brands. The complaint alleges Rosabella used a network of paid creators and AI characters to make unfounded medical claims about beetroot products, with creators earning commissions when viewers bought through TikTok Shop links.

Creator Harry Chang publicly described using tools including Google’s VEO 3, HeyGen, ElevenLabs and CapCut to build videos designed for virality, including a Rosabella promotion that he said reached 1.3 million views and generated major affiliate revenue. In another video, he said elderly health was an extremely profitable niche and advised marketers to make avatars match target customers, including making an avatar 50 years old to sell to a 50-year-old.

The lawsuit alleges Rosabella offered coaching through a private Discord channel and that many videos featured fictitious AI medical authorities or racially charged targeting. Ambrosia argues Humann has not plausibly shown that it induced or materially contributed to third-party conduct. Rosabella has previously denied using AI-generated accounts to promote its products, while founder Luca Washenko appeared in videos describing large creator payouts and a business built around AI video marketing.
