Cadence certifies reference flows for Intel 18A-P and Intel 14A

·1 min read

Cadence has certified its AI-driven digital and custom reference flows, tools and solutions on Intel 18A-P and Intel 14A technologies using the latest Intel Foundry process design kits. The certification extends earlier work between the companies, including design IP optimized for Intel 18A and 18A-P and a multi-year Design Technology Co-Optimization agreement focused on Intel 14A.

The companies have co-optimized tools, flows and methodologies for Intel 18A, Intel 18A-P and Intel 14A, including RibbonFET gate-all-around transistors and backside power delivery technologies such as PowerVia and PowerDirect. Cadence says the combination of Intel Foundry process capabilities with its agentic AI-driven EDA portfolio and high-performance design IP is intended to improve power, performance and area while reducing design risk and time to market for AI, high performance computing (HPC) and mobile SoCs.
