Agentic AI tools take center stage in enterprise IT

Agentic AI is becoming a central focus for enterprise technology strategies in 2026 as vendors shift from chatbots toward systems that can plan, reason and execute work across data, applications and workflows. IDC said 77 percent of enterprises already have AI agents running in production, while Gartner expects the AI services market to reach $515 billion in revenue by 2029.

New products from AWS, Cisco, Google, Microsoft, Databricks, Dell and Nutanix emphasize production deployment, governance and operational automation. AWS Bedrock AgentCore adds orchestration, memory handling, web search, knowledge base connections and Guardrails integration. Cisco Cloud Control gives humans and agents a unified platform for networking, security, compute, observability and collaboration. Google’s Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform combines low-code agent creation, orchestration, identity, policy enforcement and observability, while Microsoft Copilot Cowork can complete background tasks across email, meetings, files and Microsoft 365 data.

Specialized offerings focus on security, infrastructure and business workflows. Cynomi embeds CISO-style agents for MSP security services, Databricks Genie One helps teams automate work from business data, Dell’s Deskside Agentic AI keeps workflows local and claims 87 percent savings versus public cloud spend, Nutanix integrates its stack with Nvidia, VMware Tanzu Agent Foundations provides a secure runtime, and Zscaler AI Access Graph maps data and identity access for agentic systems.
