Zinc Digital tool drives new sales for Vitiliglow

·1 min read

Northamptonshire agency Zinc Digital has built an AI-powered colour matching tool for Vitiliglow that generated more than £5,000 in sales within 72 hours of launch. Introduced during Vitiliglow’s World Vitiligo Day campaign in June, the feature lets customers upload a photo of their skin and receive an instant recommendation for the closest product shade.

The system is designed to reduce trial and error for people with vitiligo and provide a more private buying route for customers who do not want to discuss their condition in person. Founder Polly Gotschi said the tool removes uncertainty caused by photo lighting and has continued to drive sales while reducing manual shade-matching enquiries.

Vitiliglow makes rub-proof, sweatproof camouflage skincare for larger areas affected by vitiligo, a condition estimated to affect around 1% of the global population. The tool was delivered as part of a wider Zinc Digital programme that included a new Shopify website, with the agency saying AI helped create the system in just a couple of months rather than months.
