North Lanarkshire welcomes £300m AI Growth Zone investment

North Lanarkshire Council’s leader has welcomed a UK-wide £300m investment in the area’s AI Growth Zone, positioning the region as part of a broader push to build infrastructure for AI development.

UK AI minister Kanishka Narayan said AI is already helping scientists and businesses get more done. He said countries that build the infrastructure behind the technology will be the ones that attract investment, create jobs and help shape the future.
