Meta’s Muse rally lifts CPU chip stocks

·1 min read

Meta Platforms’ Muse personal AI agent drew investor attention after becoming the most downloaded free iPhone app in the U.S. for the past three days, according to Sensor Tower. The app is designed to handle tasks such as sorting email, booking reservations, and managing calendars, and is backed by Meta’s distribution reach across 3.6 billion daily active users.

The momentum lifted several CPU-focused chip stocks on Monday. Arm Holdings rose 17%, Intel gained 12%, and Advanced Micro Devices advanced 10% as investors weighed the potential for agentic AI to expand demand beyond GPU-heavy model training.

AI agents rely more heavily on inference, which requires a greater share of CPUs for planning and orchestration. Arm expects the server CPU market to grow by 35% annually to $120 billion by 2030, while AMD forecasts 50% annual growth to $220 billion by the end of the decade. Those projections position Intel, AMD, and Arm as likely beneficiaries if agentic AI applications scale rapidly.
