Hitachi iQ targets enterprise AI infrastructure bottlenecks
Hitachi iQ is Hitachi Vantara’s flagship portfolio for enterprise AI and analytics infrastructure, designed to provide high-performance, resilient access to data across cloud, on-premises and edge environments. The stack targets AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, GenAI and agentic AI workloads, with infrastructure spanning storage, workload acceleration and management.
Hitachi Vantara positions iQ as a way to reduce bottlenecks in AI pipelines. The platform can increase data scientist productivity with up to 90% improvement in deep learning epoch time, accelerate GPU workloads by over 20x and cut infrastructure costs by more than 65% through shared storage that replaces isolated HPC clusters.
Key components include iQ Studio, a turnkey integration hub with a no-code agent builder and blueprints for production AI solutions; Hitachi Content Software for File, a distributed file system for high-performance computing, AI, ML and analytics; VSP One object storage; AIOps capabilities; and Data Lakehouse support for governed access to data across block, file and object environments. Hitachi Vantara also cites reliability trusted by 76% of the Fortune 100.
