GIGABYTE unveils WRX90 AI TOP workstation motherboard

GIGABYTE has announced the WRX90 AI TOP workstation motherboard for local AI workloads and intensive computing. Supporting AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO series processors, the board is designed for professionals building dedicated on-premises platforms for model development. It also includes enterprise-grade BMC remote management.

Expansion capabilities include seven PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and two MCIO 8i connectors. With compatible expansion hardware, the motherboard can support up to nine GPU devices, allowing organizations to extend their systems as computational workloads grow.

For large datasets and memory-intensive applications, eight-channel DDR5 memory support accommodates up to 2 TB of ECC RDIMM. ECC memory automatically detects and corrects data corruption during prolonged computing sessions. Together, the memory capacity, GPU expansion options and management features provide a hardware foundation for organizations running AI development locally.
