EU platform tracks digital skills training and AI initiatives

The Digital Skills and Jobs Platform serves as a central EU hub for digital skills and jobs, offering access to European initiatives, national strategies, funding opportunities, training courses, learning paths, resources and self-assessment tools. The platform is aligned with Europe’s 2030 Digital Decade targets and is managed by the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology.

Recent updates highlight the platform’s role in tracking policy, skills development and emerging technology. The EU AI Gigafactories call is open until 12 November and targets over €30 billion in investment to expand AI computing capacity and support infrastructure for training, inference and fine-tuning. Other featured items cover deepfakes and media authentication, AI use cases in European healthcare, and a European Commission consultation on an AI strategy for the cultural and creative sectors.

The platform also spotlights community activity, events and training. Ukraine connected its National Coalition website to the platform as of 7th of August 2026, while Digital Skills Talks episodes focus on AI skills, sectoral skills academies, quantum technologies, virtual worlds and Europe’s digital skills progress.
