Dili raises $21.7 million for infrastructure compliance platform
Dili has raised $21.7 million in total funding, including a $15 million Series A round led by Khosla Ventures and a prior $6.7 million seed round. The round drew participation from Allianz, Rebel Fund, Brick and Mortar Ventures’ Darren Bechtel, and Y Combinator’s Garry Tan, following Dili’s graduation from Y Combinator’s Summer 2023 batch.
The startup focuses on compliance for U.S. construction and infrastructure projects, including requirements under the Davis-Bacon Act, the Inflation Reduction Act’s Prevailing Wage and Apprenticeship rules, OSHA standards and EPA environmental regulations. Co-founder and CEO Anand Chaturvedi said compliance errors can carry steep penalties, making continuous checks more useful than sampled reviews.
Dili uses AI models to convert unstructured documents such as contracts, union agreements and payroll files into structured data, while rule evaluations run through a deterministic engine based on codified regulations. The platform is operational across about 700 projects, covering manufacturing facilities, data centers and renewable energy installations, with customers split between in-house software deployments and full-service compliance outsourcing.
