Devin Desktop turns Windsurf into an agent command center

Devin Desktop is the new name for Windsurf and expands the IDE into a command center for managing coding agents. The product is designed to let engineers plan work, delegate tasks, review changes, and ship code from a single surface that supports both local and cloud agents.

The desktop app keeps core IDE capabilities such as syntax highlighting, autocomplete, and debugging tools while adding agent-focused workflows. Features include Spaces for sharing context and Git worktrees, a Kanban-style view for tracking agent sessions, Supercomplete for predictive edits, Fast Context for locating relevant files and lines, and tools for reviewing agent diffs before pushing code.

Devin Desktop also supports multiple models and agents through the Agent Client Protocol, along with extensions, language servers, and MCP servers for tools including Slack, ESLint, Linear, Notion, Figma, Sentry, Stripe, Vercel, Datadog, Atlassian, rust-analyzer, clangd, Pyright, and gopls. Existing Windsurf users receive the update over the air, with plans, pricing, extensions, settings, workflows, and in-progress work carrying over automatically.
