Collate previews governance studio for enterprise AI assets

·1 min read

Collate has announced AI Governance Studio, a capability for discovering, organizing and governing enterprise AI assets from a central location. The company says the product can identify LLMs, agents, MCP servers and AI applications across AWS Bedrock, Databricks, Snowflake and more than 130 other supported platforms, then check them against relevant compliance frameworks.

The launch targets a governance gap as organizations struggle to track AI systems, approvals and regulatory compliance. Gartner estimates organizations deployed 16,000 MCP servers in 2025, and predicts that by 2027, 40% of AI data breaches will stem from cross-border GenAI misuse. Collate says its studio can automatically flag agents and MCP servers associated with PII and update downstream agent status when a related data asset fails a compliance check.

AI Governance Studio includes six components: an AI asset registry, risk council for registration and approval, compliance frameworks, policies, audit reports and AI lineage. It supports frameworks including the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, Canada’s AIDA and Singapore’s Model AI Governance Framework, with options for custom rules.

The product is available now as a release preview to design partners with Collate 2.0, with broader availability planned. Collate says more than 4,000 organizations worldwide use Collate and OpenMetadata for production data and AI workloads.
