Anthropic introduces hardware control framework for AI agents
Anthropic launched the Model Hardware Standard on Thursday, a framework designed to let AI agents control hardware. The system is intended to enable agents to operate physical tools and devices, including robots and microscopes.
The framework could support technical and scientific work such as developing new drugs or calibrating the laser in a quantum computer, according to Reuters. Anthropic plans to make the Model Hardware Standard available as open source after it completes more thorough testing.
