AMD has posted specifications and 1,000-unit pricing for its full EPYC 9006 ‘Venice’ server processor family, covering all 31 Zen 6 chips across the SP7 and SP8 platforms. The flagship EPYC 9996 leads the stack with 256 Zen 6c cores, 512 threads, a 2.55 GHz base clock, boost speeds up to 4.1 GHz, 1 GB of L3 cache, and default CPU power of 600 W, configurable from 400 W to 600 W. AMD notes that the published specifications remain subject to change.
The SP7 platform includes nine chips, ranging from the 64-core EPYC 9556 up to the EPYC 9996. SP8 covers 22 chips, starting at 8 cores and extending to the 128-core EPYC 9746.
