AI server demand keeps memory prices rising as consumer markets soften

·1 min read

TrendForce expects the DRAM market to remain extremely tight in the third quarter of 2026, with AI server demand continuing to support pricing. Weaker demand from consumer applications and the effect of a higher comparison base are expected to limit the pace of gains, with DRAM contract prices forecast to rise 13-18% QoQ.

NAND Flash demand is also being driven primarily by AI inference and large-scale data center deployments. However, contract prices are already at record highs, and slowing consumer demand has pushed price tolerance among consumer customers to its limit. NAND Flash contract prices are projected to increase by 10-15% QoQ, marking a slower pace than in previous quarters.
