ACHNET publishes AI Act documentation for hiring systems

·1 min read

ACHNET has made compliance documentation available to customers using AI in recruitment, following the EU’s delay of high-risk AI obligations until December 2027. The materials cover human oversight, decision logging, technical records, and documentation for bias detection, testing, and mitigation for hiring systems classified under Annex III of the EU AI Act.

The company says its platform does not make employment decisions or automatically reject candidates. Recruiters and hiring managers retain final authority, can disregard AI-generated rankings or recommendations, and can observe live AI video interviews in Surveillance Mode. ACHNET says candidate rankings can be traced to resume data, assessment results, interview scoring, and role-specific competencies, while integrity signals are scored separately from performance.

The revised timetable moves the compliance date for standalone high-risk systems from 2 August 2026 to 2 December 2027, while AI embedded in regulated products moves to 2 August 2028. The obligations themselves were not amended. Employers remain responsible for trained human oversight, logs, worker and candidate notices, record retention, monitoring, and transparency, even when vendor documentation is available.
