Bazzite 45 adds EAC readiness checks and broader handheld support

·1 min read

Bazzite 45 introduces a Linux EAC V2 readiness checker following Epic Games’ acceptance of Bazzite as a signing key provider. The tool automatically retrieves the latest requirements, compares them with the system’s kernel and BIOS configurations, and notifies users of incompatibilities. Checks cover kernel and module signing, Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, measured boot, IOMMU, kernel lockdown, kexec and BPF LSM.

The release rebases the distribution to Fedora 45 and includes Gnome 51.1 and KDE Plasma 6.8.2. Updated OGC Linux kernels include 7.2.15 for AMD and Intel systems and 6.18.60 for NVIDIA users, while the Mesa graphics driver advances to 26.2.6.

Hardware compatibility expands to the Acer Predator Atlas 8 and ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X20 handhelds, alongside additional peripherals such as Logitech TrueForce racing wheel hardware. InputPlumber has also been updated, and CoolerController has moved to the official Docker container. XWaylandVideoBridge has been removed to improve stability and address KDE bugs.
