Huntington unveils small business platform built with Google Cloud

·1 min read

Huntington Bank has announced The 1866 Studio, an AI-powered operating system for aspiring and existing small business owners built using Google Cloud’s Gemini platform. The service brings together business guidance, financial intelligence, digital tools and human expertise to help owners start, run and grow their businesses.

Initial capabilities include agents that guide entrepreneurs through entity selection, registration, licensing and operational setup while generating customized launch plans. Marketing tools use multimodal Gemini models to create collateral, digital advertising copy and social media campaigns. Loan readiness assistance identifies potential financing gaps, explains lender expectations and recommends actions that could strengthen eligibility for future funding.

The platform is designed to retain relevant business context across tasks, helping owners coordinate decisions and work across separate tools while maintaining control. Personalized expert content and an AI assistant will support monitoring of operations and finances alongside daily task management. Huntington intends to expand support across the business lifecycle, including succession, sale or exit.

The initiative builds on Huntington’s multi-year strategic partnership with Google Cloud to modernize technology and advance governed AI capabilities. Entrepreneurs and small business owners, including those who are not Huntington customers, can sign up for early access beginning Oct. 19.
